A concert of Disney’s musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame is coming to London this summer.
The show will play for two performances at the West End’s Prince Edward Theatre, on Sunday 17 August 2025.
The concert will be directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, with musical direction by Alan Williams. The show is produced by Jack Maple.
Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame boasts music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, who wrote the songs for the original 1996 animated movie, plus new songs and book by Peter Parnell.
The show’s original book for the 1999 world premiere German production, Der Glöckner von Notre Dame, was by James Lapine (Into the Woods). That Berlin production ran for three years.
This new version of the show premiered in 2014 in San Diego and has travelled the world, but never made it to the UK.
